OutWest Equipment Hire originated from a father-son mechanical repair business. With ambition and passion for the mechanical industry, life led company founder Nicholas down the path of machinery hire and sales. Knowing the mechanical industry very well, Nic felt it was apparent what was missing from the hire and service/maintenance industry: to be accountable and true to your word, providing great service the clients deserve, safety and care for not only the equipment but everyone involved with it, and pride in the fleet and company colours, hence why we started the change.
We at OutWest aren’t the largest team in Sydney, but with a combined 46+ years of industry experience, we aren’t scared to step up to the plate to provide our valued customers with tier one value, coming second to none. Our goal at OutWest isn’t to be the largest hire company in Australia, but to be known and respected by our clientele as a company that is reliable, honest, trustworthy, and down to earth – prepared to do whatever it takes to get the job done!

The more time I spend in this industry, the more I love it, learning more about different workplaces and how equipment is best utilised in each individual business.
My passion for machinery started at a young age: I’m a third generation Plant / Heavy Diesel Mechanic in my family – first my grandfather, then my father, and I’m now following in the footsteps of that lineage myself.
I wanted a little more than just to fix others’ machinery. I wanted to own my own machinery, and give it my personal touch. The concept of OutWest Equipment Hire relates to our proud Western Sydney roots. We’re proud of where we’ve come from and who we are.
Now, being able to share my passion with my clients is a dream come true, and something I would love for my family to carry on – we have to keep that diesel flowing in our bloodline!
